The Local Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of Juneau invites you to a Race Unity Day panel discussion — an evening to listen to one another, learn from different perspectives, connect as neighbors, and act together toward lasting change.

Race Unity Day has been observed across the United States since 1957, when it was established by the National Spiritual Assembly of the Bahá’ís of the United States. It is a day set apart to celebrate the diversity of our communities, to have honest conversations about race, and to strengthen the bonds that hold us together as neighbors and fellow citizens.

The Bahá’í writings teach that the diversity of the human family is not a problem to be solved but a gift to be celebrated — that unity and diversity are not in tension, but are the very source of beauty and strength in our common life.
